Last Friday night, Eric and I celebrated the 57th birthday of my Uncle Ben. Just a little back ground on Uncle Ben - he is my dad's brother who is mentally handicapped. Ben lived with my grandmother all his life until about 10 years ago. Ben now lives in a group home. Before moving to the group home, Ben worked at Kroger for years and bowled in a Special Olympics League, which he still does most Saturdays. He really looks forward to going bowling. My parents were already in Alabama (posts to come), so they were unable to be there, but we celebrated with my three cousins, Jenna, Avery, and Drake, my grandmother, and my Aunt Ginger (Ben's sister). We went to On the Border and Ben loved being the center of attention.
