Where did the weekend go?? I always feel like this on Sunday. We had a fun and busy weekend and I just now am able to sit and relax. Friday night, my friend Karla and I went to dinner at
Nick & Sam's Grill, our signature spot. We shared a bottle of Shiraz and I had the special, a pulled pork ragu over fusilli pasta. It was so good! After dinner, we met up with some friends at a new wine bar,
Alcove. It was a neat little place. We continued the night at
The Nodding Donkey, which is a "Texas Sports Saloon". It goes without saying that when 8:00 a.m. came around the next morning, I was not feeling it! But I got up because the
Susan G. Komen 3-Day comes right by my house and I wanted to get out there and cheer the ladies on! My boss from the job I just quit and my friend Tracy's mom were both walking. Casey went with me and Ollie and we met up with Tracy and her family. Ollie was a good cheerer and he made many people smile as they passed us! I never saw Cathy, but we did see Tracy's mom who was walking for the team "Judy's Jewels". Seeing these women (and men!) walking 60 miles in three days was so awesome. It is truly inspiring and I am amazed at the dedication that they all have!
Ollie, Casey and I showing our support!
Tracy and Cate showing cheering on Gran!
After cheering on the walkers, I rushed home to get ready to head down to SMU for Homecoming. We always have a good time on the Boulevard, tailgating and seeing everyone before the game. I can't help but get sentimental when seeing Perkins Chapel, where we were married. I snuck in and took a moment to reflect on our wedding day and remember how lucky I am.
June 19, 2010 - Eric and I stood in this exact place and exchanged our wedding vows. Best day ever!
Eric's sister, who is also a SMU alum, brought Blair down for her first "boulevarding" experience. Here is Blair in her SMU gear!

Go Ponies!!!
SMU played Tulane and won! It was a beautiful day for a football game. After the game, we got some dinner at Texadelphia (yum!) and came home to watch more football. I might have fallen asleep sometime during the night on the couch. It was a long day!! Eric and I went to Buzz Brew's for breakfast this morning and now he is off playing golf with my dad. Happy Sunday!!
