Self timer pics do not work....

So I have been stressing out about not having a Christmas card photo this year! Last year was so easy... we just used a wedding photo! We were supposed to take a pretty one when we were in Greenville, SC for Thanksgiving, but since we both got sick and didn't go, we didn't obviously take one. We just haven't done anything that we dressed up for lately plus I wanted Ollie to be in it. On Tuesday night, my Stella & Dot team had a Holiday social with the husbands, so I thought "Great! We can get this picture done!". So I start looking for a place to put the camera with the self timer. This is the best back drop I could come up with in the study... Not the best, but I was going to make it work! Let me warn you: These are not the photos we used for our card. They are not very pretty! Regardless, I thought it would be fun to share the out takes.

This is just me trying to get it set up properly before Eric got home.
Don't mind my coat and sit up Ollie!

 Blurry!

And yes, that is my toilet and pink bathroom!

Trying to reposition the camera. Ollie is not cooperating.

Okay, I have the right frame now...

Am I choking him or something??

Blurry... Alien eyes from the dog... Stressed out smile from me. Eric actually looks good!

As you can tell, none of these pictures were acceptable! I tried to have the girls take a picture of us at the party that night, but those just weren't right either and it didn't feel right to not have Ollie in it.

 Flash in the background...

I mean, this one could have worked... but just no. Not the best!

And can I just say I got my make up done at Nordstrom for these pictures?!? I do not like it! I went and got it done because there was a professional photographer at the party and she was going to take head shots, so I thought I would look my best. I really just don't look any better, and maybe look worse than I normally do with my own make up! My hair was not being that great either..

So what do I do?? Parents to the rescue! My wonderful father came over after work yesterday with his fancy camera and snapped a family of three pic for us. We had like 5 minutes to get this done and it turned out so cute! I ordered the cards last night from shutterfly and as soon as I get them and mail them off, I will share the finished product! So excited to get them!
