Brittany and Dave's Couples Shower

Last Saturday, we attended a couple's shower for one my very best friends, Brittany and her fiance Dave. You might remember her from this post here {The Crazy Trio}, this post here {Mexican Fiesta Engagement Party} or this post here {Visiting BK in KC}. She and Dave are getting married this summer and I am so excited to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! We are all heading to LA at the end of this month for her Bachelorette Party which is going to be awesome!

The Couple's Shower was thrown by Brittany's two aunts and grandmother and it was held at the most gorgeous house of one of her aunt's. The house is in an old, established area of Dallas and was a beautiful one story ranch with the most beautiful yard. It would be my dream home! Anyways, the hostesses did a wonderful job of decorations and food! Everything was perfect. It was so nice to get to know her family members before the big day. I know we are all going to have a blast at the wedding!

Had to throw this one in :)

They had a mash potato bar with three styles of toppings. Mexican, Traditional, and Greek.
So good!

Brittany and her Dad :) Can't wait to see them walk down the aisle together! I know I will be bawling!
And then this happened... I have a history of taking pictures in bath tubs and how could I pass up this gorgeous one?! I can totally imagine myself with my wine, some magazines, and bubbles every night!
Katie had to get in on the bathtub action too!
Managed a picture with Eric before the end of the night. He really hates photos.

After the shower, we all headed to Stan's Blue Note to continue the celebration with beers and fried pickles. Yum!

Poor Brit looks tired. Fun day!

Then I decided to join some gentlemen in a game of pool.

Which lasted about 2 minutes because I really really was bad.

As you can see, we have such a fun night! It was a wonderful party and reason to get together to celebrate this wonderful couple. I love couples showers and things like this before the wedding because it is so nice to get to know the families before the wedding. I know at mine everyone had such a great time because they had gotten to know each other beforehand. I can't wait for all the wedding festivities to come! We have the bachelorette, a bridal shower, and the big day!!

A Baby Shower for Ashley

Two weekends ago I had the honor of hosting a baby shower at my house for my very best friend in the whole world, Ashley, along with 10 other lovely ladies. This is Ashley and Jerad's first child and we could not be more excited for the two of them! Little Miss Katherine Reese will be born in May and we all are anxiously anticipating her arrival. Ashley and Jerad have been busy preparing for their little one and it was so wonderful to get together to celebrate her upcoming arrival!

We decided on a brunch shower with a pink and grey theme based on the invitation. Like I said, there will 11 hostesses. Ashley and Katherine are two VERY loved girls! With that many hostesses, we divided up the duties and everything came together seemlessly!

I made a yarn wreath! Seen all over Pinterest, I decided to attempt this project. A tad time consuming, but easy and well worth the effort! K for Katherine!
Entry way table - invitation, roses and hydrangeas, and Onsie cookie favors

Food table! The decorations for this party came together so well! Everyone had their part and it looked fabulous! Reagan made the super cute elephant, Kristi made the poof poms, Tiffany made the sign, and Jaqueline took care of the pretty flower arrangements. We had so much wonderful food as well!
Donut holes! My favorite!

These are always a hit! They are from Picky Palate.

Katie and Jason's Housewarming Party!

Okay, I am playing catch up for events that took place in the past couple of weeks! My good friend Katie and her husband recently bought a gorgeous house in Frisco, a suburb north of Dallas. They had a house warming party a couple of weeks ago so we made the drive up there one Saturday to celebrate with all our friends! There house is so nice! It was a new build, so they were able to completely customize it. I have to admit that I was a little jealous of the brand, new pretty everything when I think of my 1956 old, little house. (Don't worry - I love our house and we are not moving to the burbs anytime soon!)

(I am wearing my Leona Pendant from Stella & Dot - love it!)
Katie had fun mustaches and a picture area set up. We defnitely took advantage.
Here are the two mustache aficiandos, Kate and Lauren. They have a thing for them. :)
Katie, me, and Kate, posing with the Orchid I gave them for a housewarming present.
I also brought my yummy corn dip. Katie had cute little chalk board signs to label all the food. So cute! This dip is always a hit, served with Fritos.
Kate works for a food broker, so she is able to get tons of free food and got Katie stuff for the party. Thoughtful Katie wanted to let everyone know Kate provided the food so she made this frame.

Even their boxer Stoney got in on the mustache action. Such a good boy!
Our Aussie friend Nicole and Kate
Katie and "Harrington" as we call her - Loved her shirt!

As you can see, we clearly had a lot of fun with these.

Thanks Katie for the cup on my head!

Thanks Kate for the bunny ears!

And yes, here is where the fun starts. We decided to do a cheer leader pyramid. Not sure who's bright idea this was. Pretty sure I ended up with a bruise on my chin because of this. I will spare you the sprawled out on the floor pictures when we fell. And the pictures of me trying to put Kate on my shoulders. And the pictures of me wrestling with Stoney. And the pictures in the bathroom where we pulled down the shower curtain somehow. Yes, we had a good time.

And yes, Eric was there too!! I managed to sneak in a mustache picture with him. Yay for being a good sport!

Thanks to Katie and Jason for a fun party! I love your new house and can't wait for the next festivity!
