Today's topic is to write about your favorite Christmas gift ever. When I think back on my childhood Christmases, the main thing that stands out in my mind is my American Girl Dolls. I started getting these dolls when I was probably around 8 and I loved them! I remember other family members asking if I was okay with only getting all American Girl stuff and I totally was! My first love was Molly!
Molly was a little girl who lived during World War II. Her father was gone in the war and Molly and her family had to survive without him. I loved these dolls not only because they had the most awesome, realistic accessories, but there were historical fiction stories to go along with it. These are great for young girls because it is teaching them something about history as well. After Molly, came Samantha, Kirsten, Felicity, and Addy. I loved playing dress up with the girls.

My mom still has the dolls all wrapped up carefully at her house. I actually got the Girl of Today (modern doll with blonde hair blue eyes that looked like me) for my 16th birthday because my mom wanted to complete my collection and we gave my mom Josefina as a joke the next year. We have lots of American Girl dolls at my house! We actually would put them in their Christmas dresses and display them at Christmas, but haven't in a while. I think we need to break them out and do that this year! What is crazy is you can still buy these today! Some of the girls have been retired, like Samantha and Felicity, and they have added new ones that were not around when I was little. I think it will be so fun when I have a little girl to let her play with them (carefully of course!). These dolls definitely were my favorite Christmas gifts and I am so glad I have them and the memories of playing with them!

totally remember the American Girl dolls, and Molly was one of my favorites. I remember all of her little accessories too especially that cake and didn't she have a victory garden. my other favorite was Samantha during the Victoria period, I wish we could go back then and be that fancy
I loved my American Girl dolls. We used to dress them up and set them out for Christmas as well.
