Glitter nails and reality television - LA trip

This past weekend, Karla and I went to visit Ashleigh and Adrienne in Los Angeles. We had such a fun girls weekend, despite some not so sunny weather. Thursday night we had a relaxing evening after we flew in. We went to a Mexican restaurant called El Torito and had some yummy margaritas. On Friday, we woke up and got ready to go to our nail appointments at The Painted Nail. It is nail salon in Sherman Oaks (where Adrienne lives) that I had heard a couple of celebrities frequented. Well, we get there and they are filming a reality show about the salon!

We tried to play it cool and act like it was no big deal (ha who am I kidding, I was like omg!). We sat down and began our appointments and enjoyed a few glasses of wine, all while they are filming all around us. We had to sign waivers and everything. The series is just on TV Guide Network and premieres in June, but it is still pretty cool! You can bet that I will be watching and letting all of you know if we made the cut! While we were there, I got glitter gel nails and glitter toes! It looks really neat. I also got fake eye lash extensions to have a little fun for the weekend.

We were hungry after all of that filming (haha), so we went to a bar called The Mad Bull and had this huge beer! Don't worry, we shared it among us all and had a bunch of yummy appetizers.

That night we went to a restaurant/lounge called Townhouse and had some drinks and food!

The next morning we went to brunch at Villa Blanca (owned by Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Lisa Vanderplump). We actually saw her husband while we were there. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was great! Check out how pretty these flowers are!

After brunch, we hit up the original Sprinkles and then walked around Rodeo Drive. We took a picture in front of the Beverly Wilshire, the hotel from Pretty Woman.

Next, on to Hollywood to see the sign and take the obligatory pictures.

Then it was back to the apartment, to get ready for our big night out. We went to dinner at The Bar at Chateau Marmont. It had a really cool atmosphere.

We finished the rest of the night off going to a couple of bars/clubs and ended the night dancing at a gay bar! Needless to say, we were quite exhausted the next day! And that was the end of our trip! We had a great time and LA is definately a fun city that I want to visit again! You might be wondering where has Eric been lately?! You are doing all this fun stuff without him! Unfortunately, it is his busy season and he is busy working late nights and weekends and he is not having very much fun lately. He is a hard worker! Luckily, he gets to relax this weekend and go to the opening day of the Rangers with his coworkers. So that is what we have been up to! Thank you Ashleigh and AJ for hosting Karla and I! We had so much fun!
