Today's topic is past New Year's Eve Celebrations! I am excited about this one because I actually have lots of pictures from past celebrations!
This is NYE 2004 Junior year of college. This is Julie, one of my good friends in college. She was unable to celebrate NYE on NYE because of a really unfortunate event, so we all threw her a "Redo NYE" party in January! She loved it! It was a crazy time, if I remember right! We had a huge turn out and we actually surprised her!
NYE 2007 I believe was spent in New York City in Times Square. I did not want to spend actual NYE in Times Square, but everyone else did, so I obliged. I would not recommend it! We had to get there at like 4:00 in the afternoon. No drinks, no food... because there was no bathroom. What is NYE without champagne? It was long, cold, and kinda boring. We had a big group, so it was not horrible, but as soon as that ball dropped, we ran to the nearest pizza place, got food and cold beers and let the real celebrating begin! How attractive is my hat and scarf? Freebies passed around...
NYE 2008 was spent in Dallas at Lotus with my good friend Ashley and Jerad. It is a swanky club that was packed! We had a good time though!
By NYE 2009, Eric has entered the picture! We went to the Dallas Stars hockey game. Then at Victory Plaza they have a big "times square" type party where every gathers outside the arena and there are bands and stuff. All of Eric's buddies met up with us after the game there and then we all headed back to our little apartment and finished the night!
NYE 2009- We had a party at our house. It was not a huge party, but we still had fun! This is Eric's sister and her husband. I remember Eric made beef wellington's that were so good! (And "wellingtons" for Kate :)
This was last year - NYE 2010 - we were supposed to go to our friend Beckerley's party, but Eric was sick. I stayed home with him and my NYE consisted of cuddling with Ollie and drinking champagne! I even broke out our toasting flutes from the wedding!
So that is it! I don't know what we are doing at all this year! Hopefully some plans will magically appear! Who knows, maybe we will have a party again? I really don't care about getting out in the craziness. Bars/clubs never are as fun as they seem they will be. I think everyone has expectations that NYE will just be crazy fun and then you get disappointed.

Hey, stopping over from the Challenge.
I always wanted to go to Times Square on NYE, but I definitely don't want to deal with chaos and lack of booze. Lol! Great pics!
Don't you love those NYE hats?? :-)
I wish I had blog appropriate pics from so many new years!! Thanks for linking up friend :)
