Don't stop believin'!!

Tuesday night we went with Eric's parents to the AT&T Performing Arts Center to see the musical Rock of Ages. According the the website, it is the "insanely fun worldwide smash hit that features a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching tunes including Don't Stop Believin', We Built this City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can't Fight this Feeling, and I Want to Know What Love is." The music was great! The male lead of Drew is played by a former American Idol contestant, Constantine Maroulis. He was actually really good! I admit I didn't know every song (I was born in late '83...), but I still enjoyed them all. My favorite was the big dance number of Don't Stop Believin' at the end. (I love Journey!). I wanted to get up and dance! The story is a play within a play that is set in Hollywood on the Sunset Strip in 1987. It is a love story of a aspiring musician (Drew) and actress (Sherry) as they struggle to make it big in LA. The costumes were great and the dancing was really fun to watch. If you like 80s music, I would highly recommended!  It just so happens that today CBS Local Offers has a deal for a ticket to the show for $19.80 on May 25th. Click here for the deal. Let me know if you end up going and what you thought!
