In-N-Out has arrived in North Texas! The much anticipated hamburger chain from California opened two restaurants here last week. One is in Frisco and one is in Allen. Opening day was absolutely crazy from what I hear with people waiting in lines for hours and one crazy lady crying when she got her burger! Eric and I have both had In-N-Out before on trips out west and couldn't wait to have here it again here in Texas. We decided to go on Sunday evening around 8:30 to the location in Allen hoping it would not be too busy. The drive through line was long (people are lazy and don't want to get out of their cars), but the line to order at the counter was not too bad. We started out waiting outside, but quickly the line moved us inside. We maybe waited 25 minutes from the time we got there until we got our food and easily found a place to sit inside the restaurant. Eric ordered a 3 x 3 Animal Style with extra spread. That means he got THREE patties and THREE slices of cheese. That is a lot of food! Animal Style means a special sauce and sauteed onions I think. There is a whole "secret" menu if you look at their website. I got the little burger and it was plenty. The fries were excellent! They are fresh cut daily and are fried in some special oil that does not leave them really greasy. I definitely recommended taking the time to go get a burger there sometime soon! By the end of summer, there will 5 stores total in the metroplex, including two a lot closer to our house at 635 and Coit and 75 and Caruth Haven. I will have to ration Eric's trips there!
